Huawei has released a number of devices this year and still has plans to release more. The company’s subsidiary Honor just launched a new smartphone which is the successor to the Honor 4A that was released last year.
Honor 5A is the new device and features a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1080×720 pixels. The device is fueled by the Snapdragon 617 64-bit octa-core processor. RAM is at 2GB while ROM is at 16GB and supports MicroSD card with 128GB additional data. It runs EMUI 4.1 on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and packs in a 3100mAh battery.
The Honor 5A sports a 13MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and an 8MP front camera with 4P lens.
The device will be available in two variants – the standard version and another version that supports China Telecom and Unicom networks. Color options include Blue, Black, Gold, White. It has a textured back and supports 4G with VoLTE.
Price and Availability
The Honor 5A will go on sale in China starting June 17. The standard version goes for CNY 699 ($105) while the other version is priced at CNY 799.
When available in Nigeria, the price of the device is expected to range from N28,000 to N40,000.
