Chinese smartphone maker, Meizu has launched an upgraded version of its PRO 6 device released earlier this year. The PRO 6 Plus comes with a lot of impressive specs and features the latest version of Meizu’s very own Flyme OS.
The PRO 6 Plus sports a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display with Always On technology. It is fueled by Samsung’s Exynos 8890 SoC and incorporates a Mali-T880 MP12 GPU to render graphics. RAM is at 4GB, and there is 64GB/128GB of UFS 2.0 internal storage. The 64GB storage model also comes with an underclocked CPU at 2GHz, while the 128GB variant is clocked at 2.3GHz.
The flagship is fitted with a 12MP SONY IMX386 sensor with f/2.0 aperture, 6P lens, and 4-axis optical image stabilization. There is also an 8MP front-facing unit for selfies.
The device runs Meizu’s new Flyme OS 6 on top of Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The latest version of the Android based operating system has over 400 new features, and also includes an Artificial Intelligence system called One Mind that optimizes system performance based on user preference.
A fingerprint sensor is embedded in the home button for extra security, and there is a 3400mAh battery to keep the lights on. The device also comes with a 3D Touch technology, Hi-Fi audio, and USB Type-C.
Price and Availability
The Meizu PRO 6 Plus is priced at 2,999 Yuan (about $435) for the 64GB version and 3,299 Yuan (about $480) for the 128GB model. The device will be available in Deep Space Gray, Champagne Gold, and Moonlight Silver colors.
